Yep!

It's created now by rubbing 2 sticks together and walking around on dry carpet to build up static electricity.

Once you hear the screeeeech, crackkkkkkkkkk, kkkkkkkkkkkkkkk, ding a ding........ then your connected and can hurry up and wait for the page to load!

Haven't seen dial-up around here in years pretty sure it's no longer available - Omega that is fast, the Fiber must come right to your door - I top out at 5 Mbs but that comes over a phone line.

Oh my... I didn't think dial up was still an option!

Seriously though, I work part time at the orange and white, do-it-yourself moving rental company, and email addresses make things so much easier. I was amazed the other day when a customer gave me a juno.com email address - I really thought Juno email went out with the 90's.

I always thought my 5Mb speed was good I often work from home and it serves me well BUT now I look at Omega's 65Mb and all of a sudden EVERYTHING IS TOOO SLOWWWWWW - thanks Omeaga ... :cheeky:

Shut the front door! You mean they have something besides dial up now????? :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy:

:laptop: :laptop: :laptop:
GiterDONE!!! I am NOW wireless, and high speed!! :yahoo:  :yahoo:
Unfortunately...it doesn't seem to wanna play nice with Firefox. IE is working quick as greased owl poo....and I can actually watch the videos here(and other places). Yippppppie!!! :yahoo:

Tanks! If I could just figure out WHY Firefox just locks up immediately, I'd be happy. I'm having to use IE or Chrome..... :help:

Firefox freezes for me too when first opened. After 10 seconds it's ok.
Try opening and let it sit. Maybe it unfreezes?

Nope....it freezes, and stays that way. Never did that before. I'll try d-loading a new edition, and see how that works. IE & chrome work just fine, and...get this..IE(8) is faster than chrome!? Guess now I can update IE to 10.
MS updates(about 70mb) that I have been putting off updated last nite in about 5 minutes(or less). Malwarebytes updates, which usually take about an hour, updated in less than 15 seconds.
So far tho, other than the problem with FF, I be really happy with the speed. Pages load instantly, even with pics/vids. I showed Mama how fast ebay was, and I thought she wuz gunna pee herself.....I'll be able to do some real sniping now! :smilie_happy: :clapping: With dial-up, "sniping" was more of a educated guess as to how long it would take to enter the bid....usually about 2 minutes before then end. If someone else had a higher bid at that point, is was game over! :hihihi:
And, we now have hundreds of TV channels....with nothing on them... :swoon:

It's because FF sux bawls now... Try Chrome and be happy.

and before you come on and tell Joel how to fix it roncar...the fact that you have to do stuff to make it work proves it sux bawls. :head bang:

~O~

:smilie_happy:  :smilie_happy:
I have chrome...just don't like the way it looks, but it's better than a frozen firefox.... :good:
