My head light has become intermittent. Sometimes its on and sometimes its off. I pulled the electrical schematic for the bike and noticed that the power for the headlight passes through the starter push button. There is a normally closed switch which opens when you press the starter button. I assume this is to cut power to the headlight in order to give the starter all available current. After you release the starter button the switch should close and the headlamp comes back on. I discovered that if my headlamp is off if I lightly press and or wiggle the starter button I can get the headlamp back on. I was looking at the switch assembly which has the starter button and the Stop/run/Stop switch and it all looks pretty much sealed up. I tried spraying the starter button with contact spray with the button pushed in and it might have improved it a little but I probably need to get inside of the assembly further in order to make it better. Does anyone know if the assembly can be taken apart to gain access to the switches or is it a sealed assembly? If its all sealed up I guess I will be looking for a used one on eBay. Thanks.

AApple » Mon Jul 08, 2013 7:53 am[/url]":1rzet4wo]Take a look at this thread...it will help. I thought Dan had a neat vid on doing this switch, but I can't find it now....
Yes I made a video.
It's on the Video References and Forum Index page under the Electrical section.

Very tiny parts in there.
I recommend removing the entire control housing with the wire harness from the bike while working on it. There's a couple springs and tiny ball bearings easily lost.
