Hello,i will be picking up 2 and a half gl1100's from a friend of mine on saturday.one runs,both are rather disheveled.i will be picking brains on here as i move forward with these bikes.looking forward to the fun

Ok,got em home,one is an 81 model and the other is an 84.still undecided which one to get roadworthy first.more updates soon
 
Also,just realized the 84 should be a 1200,which model is easier to get parts for/make a better road bike?thanks
 
I have both the 81 and 84. Both are very nice rides. I'm rather partial to the 84 though. Parts availability is much the same for either. I buy most of mine off ebay.
