Thanks guys, this is my first actual ride able gl and it is fun. Gotta go through all the fluids and carbs though, small hiccups here and there. I think tuning and syncing the carbs are definitely needed.

Dear JOEDRUM, I could use your help/input, please. I have a 1980 GL1100. My fuel pump is toast. It's my second Mechanical Fuel Pump. Could you describe to me how to wire up an electric fuel pump? I bought a 4psi pump. Does black go to ground directly on the engine {or battery} and red wire go to the fuse box with an inline switch? Or is the black wire supposed to go to the fuse box too? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes on the fuel pump wiring all I’ve dealt with work that way ...black ground red hot ...I have mine set up with manual switch on and off on the ground side ...
