Hello fellow 'Wing riders!
I found this site through a friend of mine who recently purchased his new first Goldwing and recently joined the site; marcusknight is his username.
I have a 1984 Goldwing Interstate that I got last summer when I traded my '88 Yamaha Virago 1100 for the 'Wing "straight up." I think it was a good trade and I've enjoyed riding the 'Wing during that time. This bike did take some getting used to compared to my previous bikes. I enjoy meeting up for rides if you're in the Madison or southern Wisconsin area. I'm sure I'll be in Fox Valley too to visit marcusknight and ridge the 'Wings all around. I missed WingDing here in Madison by a few weeks and I was bummed to realize what it was AFTER I got my 'Wing.
My wing has about 76k miles last time I checked the odometer. I'm planning to add plenty more miles this summer with trips to Door County and the Mississippi River and maybe even visit the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa, Iowa which is about a 2hr 15 min ride from here.
I have attached three pictures.
The picture with two folks is my wife and I on the Colsac 3 in Merrimac, WI crossing Lake Wisconsin.
The one with the water in the background is on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus on Observatory Drive at the scenic overlook, Lake Mendota is the body of water in the background.
The next picture should be of my Goldwing out in a rural church parking lot by Black Earth, Wisconsin. That was a very muggy summer evening last August.
I look forward to getting to know you guys!
