Hey gang, I recently acquired a very nice 76 Gl from a friend of mine.
It needs a few things, but nothing major. Unfortunately winter is upon us
here in New Jersey and I have no place to work on it 'til spring rolls around.
Meanwhile I'm collecting info by reading the forums and stockpiling the
parts I'm going to need come spring.
I'll post some pics of my bike once I have enough posts.

Welcome to the CGW Forums, Offcenter!!! :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

Pics are required...... :beg:

Ok, uploaded my pics, but I can't link them to my post here.
I posted a message to the moderators asking about this.
Meanwhile, I guess you can click on "Total Images" link
under my avatar to see my pics.

Nice bikes offcenter but not the color I'm looking for. The blue green special was on the 75 thru 77 models, then the granduer blue was on the 78 up till around 81 models. Here is what I think the blue green special looks like. It appears similar in other images I have found. Just trying to make reasonably sure before I start shelling out dollars for paint. :smilie_happy:

I don't see the picture, Mike. Guess there was a glitch.
I've found some pics of newer bikes in a dark blue similar
to mine, but no 76 models. I"m guessing someone repainted
mine to look like the newer models, especially since they did
a very good job of matching the pin stripe pattern.
I found some pics of 75 and 76 models in the blue green, so
I know what you are looking for. In fact I remember seeing
them around the streets when the bikes were new.

No No! It's not my bike. That's a pic I found somewhere on the web
with the blue green color.
Mine is the midnight blue one.
I think I'm going to end up painting it, after I get the mechanical problems
sorted out.
