Retired a couple of years back and moved back to my home town area.
Sold my last bike 4 years ago when I lived in Cincy, too much traffic, too little time, so got rid of it.
Now that I have the time, and lots of nice, quiet two lane blacktops to ride, getting another bike.
At this point, looks like a GL1100 or 1200, early to mid 80's, I like the older ones.
Was Director of Sales and Technical Services for a Tier 2 automotive supplier to the auto industry.
Worked with the engineers and paint/body techs from 10 of the largest vehicle manufacturers in the world.
May be able to assist some here regarding issues they may be experiencing with paint, various black trim parts and corossion.
Back in the mid 70's, ran a M/C parts distribution company, then a Honda/Yamaha dealership in the KC area.
My own bike back then was a full dress Bimmer 900, but sold hundreds of Goldwings.
Thanks for all the tech stuff I have been able to relearn from you folks, helping in making some decisions on the bike.
