When I swapped fairings last week I found out how bad my windshield was cracked. I though it was just a spiderish in one spot. Come to find out it goes all the way to the bottom then runs along better than half way across. So I am wondering if the proper order is
1. fairing
2. windshield
3.rubber gasket
4. chrome trim hold down?
or does the rubber gasket go against the fairing under the windshield? this may give me an idea as to why it broke in the first place. I have all the little tube spacers that the bolts go through.

Hmm, I thought the rubber goes against the fairing. with the gasket at the trim plate the plate would sit away from the windshield, that would look strange.
I'll check it out on the parts fische.
