Yes, this is a rant as you guessed it.
I had personal business in downtown Los Angeles.
Obviously I took my Oldwing (no sidecar this time) because I can ride in commuter lane (I thoguht.)
It appears commuter lane on FW110 turned into "express lane" where only vehicles with prepaid pass can go though. So ended up splitting lanes in traffic.
Arrived at downtown high rises. Went into underground parking lot. Found a space, parked and walked toward the elevetor. Then this arrogant parking attendant woman tells me I cannot park there, that's for cars only. No sign what-so-ever. She says motorcycles must park over there. That turned out to be a tiny space behind construction trucks. Again no sign. There was a rack for 4~5 bicycles and a small scooter was parked. Surrounded by cars. Managed to get in and out between the cars.
So I was treated like a second class citizen. I will accept it if motorcycle parking is free but I had to pay the same rate as cars which is f'ing $4.50 per 10 minutes.
On the way home on FW110, the guy in black Mercedes Benz tried to get in my lane. Obviously he wasn't looking.
Well at least my Oldwing ran flawlessly in 82 degree weather and I made it home. After I read that Ninja 650 accident story, I wore armoured mesh jacket and kevler reinforced motorcycle jeans.
