I went to the Honda dealer to pick up some parts.

I saw the new 2013 CB1100.

It is a small frame like a CB750 size frame and a CB1100 engine in it, it looks small, I had to throw my leg over it, Nice!!!

comes either with or without Abs.

Fuel injection,

It is very retro looking.

I likes it.

I think i will have to have honda start shipping my parts to my house, as it would be cheaper in the long run.

Oh I did resist, but it took all i had to drag myself outta there under foot power, besides i dont need another bike, but it was Nice!!

Nice thing about the old wing is it can be made into Naked or full dress or any where in between.

And they dont cost $10k, like the new CB1100 does.

and i can work on the old wing, with the help of the Nice people on this great site.

I stopped in the Honda store today as well - they were unveiling the first FB6 - What a nice looking ride !!! I love it but I couldn't get over the size of the seat My Gawd are we that big? Liked the Gold wing as well I see the foot rests are moved forward and it looks like their engines higher than our 1200's.

But I went home in an empty old truck ..!!

I have been giving it some serious thought of buying a newer Honda Shadow because I am getting a little frustrated at working on the vintage wing and having to get parts for it has become a real challenge!! :swoon:

Dang!!!!!!

I had to go get a couple more parts at the Honda dealer today.

That CB1100 was still there waiting for me.

The question is, should i take it for a test ride?? No! NO!!! Dont Do That It Would Just be trouble.

If i do it would probably be mine, unless!, it was just plain lousy.

But I think it would be very nice, more hp and torque than my 83' plus fuel inj. plus it is lighter, and newer, 4 pot calipers & larger rotors should mean better brakes, probably handle's pretty good too.

Nope! I m going to hold off

at least for another day

No! I am a Goldwing dude.

I think i will just give my 83' a new paint job, I was also at my local paint supply store they have a really nice, fire bronze/copper, Paint that is very sparkly

I am really wanting to put back on my saddle bags on to my 83' GL11, leave the trunk off, and the rear trunk rack off, and go for a cleaner lower look, I have a New pair of the long Harley Road King mufflers, that have been begging to find a home on the 83', now the 83' has medium short sportster muffs.

I also want the Memphis slim all glass shield on it with the quick disconnect windshield brackets

It is either that or i have two fiberglass batwing fairings in my shop

No I did not, as that would be dangerous. If I did test ride one, I may not be able to leave without one

You may not like it, I have test rode a few new bikes with the intention of getting rid of the CBR but instead bought another CBR and then a Goldwing

I would probably rent one for the day and get a really good idea of the bike's character.

But I am trying to talk myself out of it, so a test ride is not going to happen, struggling, ouch!! arm going behind back, ouch!!, feeling of no control.

Ok it's past, If I were to get one i would have to get rid of one, which one could i do with out

Maybe the C109R ? that bike has a little over 1K miles, still new, or my 99' GL1500, that has 45K and runs like new.

Nope I dont need a new bike

I will just build my 83' into a Roadking Project

quick remove-able clear front windshield, large 9" diameter Headlight, saddle bags, and Roadking Mufflers, New Paint.
