Idle Rpms

Can someone here tell me what is standard Idle Rpms are for the gl1200 mine is running around a grand after choke but if i am not mistaken it idles to low when fan kicks on so i tried to adjust it up when fan comes on to around 11-1200 and seems to run smooth

1985 Owners manual says warm idle 1000 +/- 100 rpm so your right where it should be.

1986 is the same so I imagine your 87 is too.

that's a bit in the high normal ranged ...if it increases will riding might have to back up a bit so it will shift better in traffic

With good balanced carbs and a sound motor mine can tick over at 650rpm but prefer to run at idle of 1000 for the sake of oil pressure.

another question i have is this is supose to be a ball bearing and spring in both lower forks if so i only had one set in one fork the other was empty i think its #23 and #74 in picture

Those are parts of the Trak anti- dive system and there should be a steel ball and spring in each unit on each fork.

backlander totally understand but i need one spring and cant find one hoping someone here would have a bent fork laying around they would part out
