Can't speak about the battery you bought, :nea: Deka makes but one battery in this size, that one fit's any of the four's, as well as the 1500's. Unlike many other's with more plates in some, less in others, a few year's ago a test was run on all major types of battery's, none came close to Deka. Do not think the Odyssey was included, but they're more money to buy i believe. Been year's since i looked at anything else.
I paid $108 for my odyssey pc 680 eight years ago and with a quick search of the web I pretty much found the same price

That's about the same as my last Deka a couple yr's ago. Don't know if odyssey was included or not, :nea: point being at that time, no one else's battery, came close to the C C A's of the Deka's. :good:

Hey all the little lady got me a great xmas present last year a AGM battery from autozone. Its a duralast gold power sports battery. I'm a little confused about how to charge it. My bikes sit a lot sometimes and me being a old dude like to put the battery tender on to top off the charge sometimes. I used to just use the wally world ones and use my tender from autozone . Not sure if I can use it on the AGM do I need a special charger for the AGM. Haven't started the 77 in 7 or 8 months it was up north and with a layover like that it takes a little extra cranking. Sure could use some advice on charging it. Thanks in advance. Jerry

I think the battery tender should be okay to top it off.Not sure if it'd be a good idea to leave it on unless it's one that shuts off when the battery is charged. I believe those are called float chargers.

Have used a battery tender, as well as a Schumacher, on mine for year's, with great result's. :good:Any good charger should be fine

The one I have is Bat+ery compani-n 1.5 amp trickle charge fully automatic battery charger/maintainer with float-mode monitoring for 6&12 volt lead acid batterys it has charging, charged and trouble lights. that what it says on the front of it. Jerry

All my bike batteries have lived on a battery tender jr. and I have never had to buy a replacement battery. Keeps batteries fresh and they last and last.

Guaranteed not to overcharge, quick connect/disconnect plug, trickle float charger, extends battery life indefinitely, only around $30.

Win, win, win

Thanks for the reply Terry. Your 77 looks just like mine except it has a rare pacific fairing and calafia trunk with matching side bags with a unique disconnect system I can take them off in about 2 minutes. The bike has about 35k on it and looks almost new. I have owned it for over 13 years. And still love it. Jerry
