Intro

Hi all, I have only just joined tonight as I am looking for some help, on this very sad time I am looking for someone that could point me in the right direction. My partner has been diagnosed with cancer, and has a Goldy that approx 20 something yrs, it was salvaged so work was started to restore it only now he doesn't have the energy to finish it and take out for a ride. As part of his wish list he wants to finish it and ride before he's too far gone. Any ideas where I could grant his wish please? Thankyou

It's not a case of not having fun doing it, he's unable too due to cancer!!!

Okay, since it sounds like he is "unable" were you thinking of helping or doing the work for him?

Welcome, Goldy..so sorry to hear about your partner. How far apart is the bike, and/or what will be needed to finish it up? Maybe there's a motorcycle club near you, with folks that would love to give their time to help out... I'm sure any members of this forum living in your area would want to get involved as well.

Omega man, sadly I don't know the first thing about bikes, I was hoping to find someone that could help him with it, it's an old American Goldy that he's restoring I can get a photo tomorrow and post it, he's stripped down, rewired and cleaned up there's still loads to do but sadly he is running out of time. :-(

That's it Stevens he will be in the next few months, there's still a fair bit to do on it rewiring n electrics still need doing amongst other bits. Ok I didn't know that, how would I go about finding things clubs
