This is one of the best countries on earth. Just imagine what would happen to some around here that piss on their country all the time if they didn't live "here"... :roll:

It sure has become that way, hasn't always been so obvious and the city,state and federal would actually prosecute..For more then a decade maybe two law enforcement and government haven't showed any will to go after rip offs..I hear that filing false tax returns is big money among non citizens and criminals, Other people stealing services with no real action being taken while our service cost rises to fill the gap. Medicare and state welfare rip offs costing us billions while services to the needy are cut to compensate.
Lets get to the somewhat legal ripoffs like inflated charges for government goods and services, government employees using tax dollars for vacation while pretending it is business, the DWP employee at the strip club or sleeping in the park during work hours..The medicare rip offs you see in commercials for things like a knee brace or back brace"have medicare..Have pain..We can help"..Ripoffs.
Then there is the blatant criminals that rip off your car or stereo or rob you at gun point, we just let out a bunch due to prison over crowding here in Ca, wanna guess why this recent California crime wave is happening.
Some of these they say are civil matters, That just emboldens the con artist to carry on with little chance the mark will file a lawsuit and even if they do they will move to another state or change their name.
Sheesh, you think if your home was broken into they would look for fingerprints and run them in the database, I would be next to certain they are on file and other lives wont be harmed even ruined by this person. But no..It isnt something they want to do, easier to file a report and move along.
Yes it is a nation of rip offs and getting worse.

yes everybody life are effected differently ... if you were hit by a gov man made desease as i was ...you might think different ... i to quite honest ...i would have like to have been anywhere than where i was in 1987 ....any third world country any dam where ...but where i was ... i will never paint this picture pleasant ... i would be a liar ... and i am not ... its my duty to speak as long as i can regardless of what others think ... i been through so much pain and my whole life reduced to this issue of pain and constant monitoring ...i can hardly be part of the rest of the world people enjoy not just people in this country .... my whole body is a battle field of never should have ever happen ..our tax dollars spent to create killer viruses is pure insane to me ...its not about wealth and how pretty the infomercals about how great this country is....... to me ive had life rip off ...and absolute no accountability by the stupid that did this stuff...many can not speak there dead ...i wont shut up on it people need to hear even if its unpleasant...

It's really funny how familiar this country bashing conversation sounds. I hear it every single day here at the hospital. How awful this place is, how cheated certain patients feel, how no one's cares or is willing to do anything about it all, the food sucks and how every other hospital is so much better. Yet, when it's time for them to be discharged, they fight like hell to stay. I've seen them literally cling to the door frame begging to stay...

Now as for your illness Joe, I won't comment. You believe what you believe and I wouldn't dare fault you for that.

And that most of these statements of same have absolutely NOTHING to do with the topic.
They are your little digs at this country and the government to convey some sort of statement for your hate.

Lol, Joe I don't think you get it.
It's not if it offends anyone or not, (to me it's irritating to read your mini rants) it's that they offer little or nothing to the topic and I think most will agree they don't want to read that crap on a bike forum. It is not why we are here. Do you have some other agenda I should know about?

I wasn't going to post but here goes. I disagree that this is the land of rip off unless you are including the entire planet. But you can be blind as a bat and still see rip off all around you. Here you can vacate for 3 months and still have a water bill to pay if your house is still there. Haven't used a drop but you get a charge because it's there. Then there are all those hidden fees in phone bills and internet and cable that are simply just hidden taxes added. Things are the way they because of the agendas of the few and the gullible nature of voters. This is still the land of opportunity if you take the time to understand.

Ok well I don't see this as land of rip off but you do have to be careful and educate yourself because it's easy to 'get ripped off'.
I don't believe that there is any 'agenda' to rip us off and I believe it's the ignorant, uninformed, and uneducated that bring it upon themselves.

I will put my life on the line to protect what our forefathers have created and I feel everyone that lives here should be willing to do the same.

I feel proud that Obama's popularity has dropped to an all time low.
We Americans are not stupid even though it does appear that way sometimes but when the chips are really down, we pull ourselves up by the bootstraps and take charge.
Anyone that doesn't see it this way is succumbing to the fears and pressures of modern day society and needs to man up.

I try to stay out of any political discussions because I am not well enough informed to give a valid point to any side. I do, however, have opinions, and, right or wrong, it is what it is.
Would I want to live in any other country? Hell no....I already live in the greatest country on the planet...TEXAS. :hihihi: Are our so-called "leaders" a bunch of flakes, with mostly personal agendas to look after? Prolly. Do any of them really give a **** about me, or how I'm doin? I seriously doubt it. Would I rather they take care of US first, then perhaps see aboot helping other countries? HELL YES! Will that ever happen....hell no. The money this country spends on outside interests is just ridiculous, BUT...it keeps a lot of other countries on our side when it comes down to nut-cuttin. At least that's how I see it. Don't really like it, but then again, I'm not runnin for any office. I could bitch and moan all day about how the leaders should do this, they should do that, whatever...it ain't gunna change a dang thing. Our only option is the voting booth, and there's normally not a lot of better choices out there. The only thing it could possibly do is shake the tree a little, and maybe get their attention.
