Hello I'm new to Gold wings, computers and this site. I bought a 80 last October and have been spending the winter fixin her up. I have replaced the brakes, rebuilt the rear master cylinder and rear caliper. repaced the air filter and plugs, changed the oil and filter, and changed the rear final drive oil. I have new timing belts to install yet and flush the cooling system. It seems to run pretty well but while idleling in the shop today I noticed oil burning off the right sjde pipes right by the head. There is a bolt in between the pipes that js very wet, does this mean i will have to replace the head gasket and is this a difficult job. Thanks for any help. By the way this is a graet site for informative tech tips thanks again

Welcome to the forums.

Try tightening the head bolt first.
Could also be oil that's run down from the valve cover. The valve cover gaskets on mine like to leak even after replacing them.
I'm going to pull them off, clean good and use silicone this time.
