Just came back from desert tent camping. It was very windy and this stupid tent with top half mesh construction let all the dust in. It was a horrible experience.

Anyway, I really need a van to haul two fullsize dirt bikes and can be slept in comfortably.
I don't want to spend a fortune for a brand-new one.

So, what should I watch out for used ones?

For example, this one looks nice and vintage (LOL) but could this be a money pit?

For the purpose stated I'd prefer something like this.
https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/c ... 81993.html

I see.
It is definitely more spacious but no windows... unless I put them in. Hmmm.
I would add a door on the side too but something like that may get stuck in the sand...seen a few dirt bike vans that have fold down beds, fold up for the bikes to load.

Add a a small window and side door. Wall off the cargo area so you have sleeping quarters separate from the bikes.

I'm not sure I'd trust 66,000 original miles but for desert camping a box van like that would be great.

Maybe the true mileage is 1,066,000. LOL.

Fold-down beds, yes, good idea.
I don't venture out in sand even with the Jeep so it should be okay..

Moving trucks like that are often seldom used or short distance delivery so mileage may be correct.

I use to have a Honda xl125, I used my e150 club wagon to take it up north. I took out both back seats, the rear seat was longer than the middle seat so I put it length wise in the van and put the bike next to it. once up north the bike came out and the seat made for a nice bed. I had limo tint on all rear windows
