Do every body mind mothers/fathers day? Should i buy something to parents? what will be the best mothers/fathers day gifts?
No need to buy anything unless you feel the need to. The best gift you can give them is a letter and card hand written by you expressing exactly what they mean to you now and as a child! :good:

This will be my first Mother's Day without my mom. I did enjoy getting her gifts, she liked candles a lot, so I could please her pretty easy that way. If I had one more Mother's Day with her, I would write that letter mcgovern61 talked about, and give her the biggest hug and "I love you" that there ever was.

this is usually a busy time of year for me with yard work and spending time with my mom ( dad has already passed ) is very hit and miss so between mothers day weekend and next weekend ( mom's birthday is the 18 of may ) i try to spend alot of time with her

Same thing here - Next month marks the end of a very difficult year, to add to it my dog forgot to wake up a couple of weeks ago. Two family members had a bout with "C" (both are ok thankfully).

Mom's day for us now is a day to get together with my wife's Mom (mine passed 3 years ago) and Dad for the afternoon. We generally like to go somewhere for a picnic, all of us with our 3 kids.
Mom's day is just another day for us really. We help her and get together whenever we can all year. It's having our kids there also is what makes the day special for her.

Wish we were able to get togather with our parents. But hhat is one alternative I will wait for! :whistling: Next best thing is the kids, grand kids and great grand kids. Have dinner with then now almost every Thursday. Great time, can spoil the grand and great grand kids, tell on their parents, then go home when wwe have had enough, or get kicked out for reveling too much

Oh man, we woke up this morning and my beautiful wife says to me, Happy Father's Day honey, I said oh why thanks, so I get up and start doing things I normally do in the mornings and I go get on the computer and the two daughters are getting up and they come in and say Happy Father's day Dad, so I ask, so where are you guy's taking me for breakfast, Jim's [favorite place] ? Yeh Dad they replied...I said what do you guy's have planned for me today? Fun stuff Dad...I ask like what a Movie or something ? Yes Dad, and I was playing this for all it was worth guy's, these poor girls thought it was Fathers day and I know darn well it's next weekend..aaaaahhh Ya gotta love them... :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy: :Egyptian:

Once my 20 year daughter realized she was had, she didn't talk to me for a hour or so and acted all mad because I played them like a drum...and it was so much fun I gotta tell ya...Not everyday can a guy get over one on three females but on this day I did, and I did it to the fullest...They never stay mad at me for long anyway...I still don't have a clue as to why my poor wife thought it was today...I even got me a little special treatment, hello...I guess I am kinda devilish..... :yahoo: I guess I had my father's day celebration a week early because next weekend I ain't getting Nutten... :smilie_happy:
