at 6:15 this morning while having ham, eggs, and an english muffin for breakfast I was thinking of making a west coast ride, remembering that it was a holiday weekend I changed my mind and decided to stay on the east side of the state. I left home about 7:25and cut through town, got on I-75n about 7:40. still pretty cool this morning, I've got the jacket liner in and the deer skin gloves on other wise it was a nice looking morning with a light breeze and sunny skies. I left home with a half tank of fuel so 75 miles later i stopped in flint and filled up, it was 63º then. traffic was surprisingly light and that along with the light breeze made crossing the zilwalkie bridge a breeze, I pulled into the walgreen's parking lot in bay city, mi. about 9:18 to set the gps so it would show the way to bay city state park

I took m-13 and m-247 over to bay city state park, haven't been here in a few years and it is earlier in the year than I usually get here, in a few weeks most all the dog walkers, joggers, and bicyclist will be gone from the park and it feels like you have the place to yourself

Not many stars in those two night time photos William! :smilie_happy:

Pretty country up there. I would have stopped at Tony's in Birch Run and got stuffed. If anyone is on I-75 north of Flint and it is time to eat, Go to Tony's. Even if it's not time to eat. It is not to be believed and don't be judgemental on the looks of the place. Bacon paradise.

The Bay City park is nice with good views of Huron.
