This happened Monday, Ouch, OUCH!

9K in damage!

If the car in front of her had just run the red light like everyone else in L.A she wouldn't have hit it :Doh2: .

Thank goodness for air bags and seat belts, nobody was hurt.

Got the Burb back yesterday :yahoo:

I'll take the 14-16mpg city over any small car any day. God I love the roominess of that thing!

They did a good job, looks like nothing ever happened but I gotta wonder how it is ANY problems or incomplete work can happen.

First thing I find is a trim piece on the steering wheel is floating, like they didn't put the screws back in.
Next is I pick up my son from school and he says the running board is loose. Check it out and a bolt is missing on the main support!
The work was done at a high end body shop, no excuse for these things.

I'm sorry, I know there are a few mechanics here but what's with mechanics?
It's sh!@ like this that give you guys a bad rep.
I've been working on my own stuff all my life. It's simple, you take something off then you put it back on the same way. What is SOOO hard about this??
Do they get burned out doing this stuff everyday, get lazy and think "ah screw it good enough" or what?

They gave us a "lifetime" warranty so I'm sure they'll take care of everything but come on, what a hassle having to take it back for such simple things that shouldn't be in the first place.

So when you come back we can show you other things you need to spend money on. :smilie_happy:

It's a number of things. Body shop is a different ballgame than a general repair shop like I'm at. But they could have been real buisy and had the pimple faced clean up boy handleing some light no brainer stuff in between emtying trash cans. They could be trimming the fat by employing the hombre that just got here from Mexico and thinks two bucks an hour is Heavenly wages. Maybe they kept interrupting/distracting the real talent that was working on it because they needed somebody with experience to put out fires.

Currently, in my case, it's mostly attitude/moral. Along with the interruptions, they keep cutting my pay while adding more and more details to my job description. Appearantly, we don't know how to schedule, either. That adds to the fun.

All of these things are problems that originate from poor management and from behind the front counter.

Sorry about your truck! My daughter modified my car the same way! She claimed her flip-flop got caught on the gas pedal, but I think she was pissed at her boyfriend and wasn't paying attention.

Sucks seeing any of my vehicles on the back of the tow truck!
