The first LEDs looked great, then the second set of strips blew my mind. Now I want to put one more set of 12" strips under the front fender. I plan to drill a small hole in the top of the fender under the super brace to run the wires up in the fairing where they will be connected to the others using the same power source, there will be connectors between so the fender can be removed as needed.

The advice I'm looking for is how to attach these strips under the fender and clearance is not a factor, these strips are under a 1/4". The other strips are secured with rubber straps that are screwed into the surface under the strips, so I don't want to use this method. I was wondering if rubber cement is an option. I remember using rubber cement as a child in leather working I think and that bond was strong. So clean the inner surface of the fender well and apply the cement to the fender and strips, let it dry and put them in place - BOOM stuck forever. Am I nuts or can this work? Also any other ideas are welcome.

3M™ Plastic Emblem and Trim Adhesive

:good:

The adhesive or the emblem tape are both good options. I prefer the tape because the adhesive stays pliable for a little while.

Well now the tape option looks very good, the tape is thinner than I thought it would be. GoPro uses 3M adhesives on the camera mounts so I know how strong that bond is. Thanks!

Sounds like you have the right answers, if you need something to secure wires or add some extra insurance with I have used E6000 adhesive, a silicone like adhesive but harder and holds better. Its available at wally world, craft stores for 3 bucks or so.

Is that blue or black light blue

The LEDS are Pilot automotive LED DURA LITE CZ-3143B 12"x2 strips of blue leds. I just went to their site but this part didn't come up in the product search window. I have found them at Pep Boys but I've had to go to two different stores because there is never more than 1 package in stock at any time. The are $23-$25.

They are blue the red tail lights make a black light look on my phones camera.
