I see that people are having issues with the neutral light staying on, but sadly my problem is role reversal. I had the old girl in the shop getting a water pump installed. The tech said there was an "issue" with the pump being seized in the cover, so some kind of front cover had to be removed to get the pump out. Got the bike (her name is Gwen) back from the shop, and NOW the neutral light doesnt come on at all. Any ideas? P.S. I'm new to this site. :Awe: :head bang:

You are correct about the wire running down the front, right side of the engine. The wire could of been pinched or unplugged. But, on my 82 Aspencade, the switch is under the lower, front cover of the engine. It has to be removed when changing the water pump. It has a pin that has to be put in the correct position when replacing the cover after changing the water pump.

Ya..I believe the '82 and newer 'Wings have the NSS behind the front cover. The older 'Wings have the switch on the outside of the case...where it's a lot easier to get to!
They either left it unplugged, or damaged it somehow.... :(
