All of our C5 kits use PowerArc optical readers and coils that have been used on Harleys, British bikes, and race vehicles for around 20 years. I believe Gary mentioned over 15,000 sold, so it's not "untested" at all.

We are a new company and have been creating kits for motorcycles and cars that previously were neglected, but the electronics of our kits have been tested, improved, and used for thousands of teeth rattling HOG riders.

Modern cars and motorcycles use magnetic systems because the function relatively well and are very inexpensive to manufacture.

I was never happy with magnetic type systems, and while managing the dealership i recently retired from, spent my hard earned money to buy two PowerArc kits for my own bikes. That's actually how we became the designer/distributor for ignitions with their technology.

Should you buy a C5? I hope so, but that is a decision you need to make for yourself. This forum was kind enough to welcome us with open arms so i suggest reading our website and contacting us with questions you have. I don't want this thread to turn into a C5 thread.

Best of luck to you no matter which way you go.

I I also have a 77 wing and I also put in a dyna tech ignition in. I havent had any trouble with it until this year. It seems as though the #4 cylinder is not getting any spark. The plug keeps getting fouled up.The timing is ok but I had a friend work on it . He set the carbs on it and it ran good for a year. I noticed that the #1 carb had a kink in the vacuum line. I took the kink out and ever since then it has been running poorely. I havent had the time to re set the carbs and now the #4 carb keeps fouling out with soot. Every now and then it will pop through the exhaust pipe. I am getting verry frustrated with it. I don't get much time to ride it, only one time this year for 11 miles. My wife is having trouble breathing and I can't leave her alone.I was on this forum a while back but havent had time to post, so I had to get a new handle and pas word. I have posted several topics as maurice L I have posted Valve seals head light not bright, and a couple others. I am not a new guy just an old guy with a new name, or handle.

We are working on a '76 LTD GL1000 with a #4 issue. No popping but runs cooler at the header. I'll try sharing info with you as we work on this one. Maybe we can help each other out. It could be a fuel issue (leaking needle/seat) on yours. Excess fuel or poor spark...both could cause the plug to foul.

When you fixed the vacuum line, is it possible now the line might be leaking?

Hi Sorry that I havent posted for a while.WE HAVE BEEN RUNNING BACK AND FORTH TO THE DOCTORS. lIKE i SAID i HAVENT HAD TIME TO CHECK OUT THE CARB SINC YET AS WELL AS THE TIMING . I think I am going to make my own carb sinking kit and do my own adjusting. I only get to it on the weekends. I live in Barboursville W V and the bike is in Altizer about 10 miles from here.It is not far just that I have to make sure my wife is going to be OK befor I can leave. Probebly like you I am having trouble finding parts for the old girl. I had a guy pretty close to me that had a 75 wing he wanted to sell for parts but he wanted too much money 600$ for it with no coils or fuel tank or I should say a tank that needed to be flushed and repaired I rebuilt the carbs, and when I put #4 back together I noticed that the PIN tower for the float was cracked. It might be that it has broken and letting too much fuel in the bowl. Although I don't smell any fuel. I might get to work on it this weekend I hope :moped: :moped: :fiddle: Also it is possable that it is leaking but it is a new hose

I am parting out a '77 and if you need parts, please let me know. I have them posted in the classifieds. Many parts sold but the carbs are still complete in case you need something. I'd love to help. I've also got a friend who parts out bikes and has about a dozen early Wings.

You bought the dyna used on ebay? Did it include the coils? I think you need the green 3ohm coils. Not certain though.

Just received the coils and tomorrow hope to install.

Had I known there was another option I would have looked into buying your system. I just Googled Electronic Ignitioin go my Goldwing and I ended up at Ebay. I'll give a small report on how it went when I install the DynaTek .

I look forward to your report. If you have time, post a few photos. The last few Dynas I installed were on BMW's and I forgot to take pictures.
Fall is my favorite time to ride. I hope your bike is up and running soon. Have fun and be safe :)

Hello again. I do not know what kind of coils I have on the bike, I do know that they are NEW and that they are GREEN and cost 150$ to replace the original ones. My frend tested the othar coils and found out that the original coils were not putting out the spark that they are supposed to. My friend ( who was the auto mec. teacher in High school) is retired now from teaching, and has a lot of bikes, replaced the coils, and wires. And with the electronic ignition I put in had a set of really large ,------, that takes the heat from the coils. It is twice the size of the original ones. I dont use the condensers either. It's raining here today so I will not get a chance to work on the bike. Doctors apt tomorrow, and I dont know what is in store for the rest of the week. :moped: :moped: :thanks:

Green coils....I only know of the Dyna green coils. If they are about the size of a soda can and the leads come out the sides at a 45 degree angle, that would probably be them. They are designed to soak up heat. Great for ignitions with little or no saturation control.

For those of you that are thinking of changing to electronic ignition. I bought the Dynatek. $125. Then I bought the coils from Dynatek, $125. Then I found out I needed coil wires since the original wires were smaller in diameter than the coils were made for. $20 plus $16 for shipping. I spoke with a nice guy by the name of Larry at Dynatek about what wires to use on the wing. Very helpful. Hopefully, I will have the wing up and running this weekend. I didnt take any picture but I do have some advice that will help. When I finish I'll send a report. Next I'm going to replace the mechanical fuel pump with an electric pump. I found a few on Ebay for less than $50 that I can adjust the pressure from 1-4 psi.
I have a habit of buying a motorcycle and making allot of mods and when I get it like I want it I sell it off and get another motorcycle. My wife is a bit confused by my behavior. This my last. Got my eye on the new Victory Boardwalk.
