New member in NY

Hello all, I'm Ron. First post on the new forum about the first GW I've owned. I've been years and years into the 79-83 Honda F's but now I'm looking to widen my horizons. Picked up an 82 Aspencade to play with and learn about the machines. I remember my dad coming home in 1975 with a brand new red GW. He loved that bike.

Welcome to the forum, I had an 83 1100F 2 bikes back, Kinda wanted more comfort..Getting up in years. They are different but I always remember "someone put it together, no reason I cant take it apart and do the same"..Just tougher getting to some things.

Thanks for the welcome. Nice to meet everyone. This is what I'm starting with. An 82 Aspencade. 39,000 miles. Left outside in the weather. Not running. Most of the plastics have cracks or damage. Will be going without the touring pieces since most are damaged. $500 with good title. Worth a shot to save it.

39K - she's barely broken in! Unless the engine filled with water, she'll run again. Enjoy the project!

Nice bike to start with, and the plastics are very easy to repair.

Nice bike... yeah cracks and some damage easy fix... just some work and time... I have rebuilt missing corners on covers and working on replacing part of missing lower... patched several cracks also... main glue oatley blue can abs cement...
