Introducing myself as a new member. My wife and I ride an '83 Interstate 'Oldwing.
Great condition, but as with all elderly machinery, it requires lots of care, and that's why I joined.

By the way, what is Normal?

that reminds me of one of my favorite tractors ...the mighty whitey 2-155 herclues tractor ...the meanest torque deliverer i have ever sat in ...and ive sat im many ...it was the perfect balance between frame weight and power ...it turned steel into play doh instantly when challenged...you had to quick not to tear something up ...fact is it tore up everything that it was ever hook to ..you just couldnt keep it from happening no matter how hard you tried the mighty whitey was better...im going to have to look for pics on the net of my farm stuff ...when i lost my health i lost a lot more stuff too ...my intire past mostly pics records info all stolden or thrown away while i was sick and bed ridden

Normal is a town/city in Illinois, just north of Bloomington and about, what?, 100 miles from Moline. At least that's as close to normal as you're likely to find around here!

Welcome to the CGW Forum and good luck with your project! I'm doing an '83 GL1100, too. What did I start with? Well, a clue is that there was corn under the airbox, in the center throat of the carbs! Still haven't figured out how the mice pulled that one! :head bang:
