I bought a wing last year . It's was a Gl1000 on craiglist . I'm a mechanic by trade but not a motorcycle tech . I wanted something challenging and picked this one up for $250 . It wasn't runnin and looked as though a dog had ate the seat and wiring harness for a snack . I decided on this one cause my father always admired the goldwings when I was a teen . He had a 350 and a 750 . Anyhow I've been able to get it started . Learned it has a dyna ignition system . Carb floats are broken . I'm probably going to go with a single carb . Needs a few parts like a seat side covers and such . I was able to free the brake system up . It had no brakes when I got it . The manual fuel pump bellows was leaking . Put a elec fuel pump on it . I pulled off the fairings they also were broke . So my plan is to get it running . Gonna leave it a stripped wing . This bike is bit of history . But for the price I can do some experimenting with it . Looking forward to chattin with a few of you . Thanks

If anyone has built their own single carb manifold I could use some direction . Like where to get parts . What materials you used and such . I already have a solex carb .Thanks .
