up shift is easier cause my toe is out on the board. down shift takes some thought. brake can be difficult with boots. usually wear vans so it is easier to maneuver my feet around. guess i will just deal with it and enjoy the ride.
 
Where in Illinois are you at pjsrodshop? I have two 1500's and an 83 1100 Aspencade. If you're close, You can ride one of mine and try it. I do think the 1100 is a little tighter than the 1500. I have ridden all three to Phoenix and back and it seems like at the end of the day, I am less tired with the 1500.
 
I guess I didnt change it back yet. I had a house a house in Phoenix but I decided I really belong back here in Illinois where family is. I am in Sandwich, northern Illinois.
 
ok. i am in dixon, il. although this weekend we are riding up into wisconsin. tenting it then riding back sunday.
 
well 550 miles later i am looking for something different. just to uncomfortable. ran great and got 47 mpg. handled good too.
