If anyone actually reads this, I am new to the forum. My assistant pastor was given an '83 1100 and I am the goober who will be getting it running/restored for him...

I have been poking around the forum and find it a really good source of info and hope to get him up and running on it soon.

Right now, I am in the middle of rebuilding his carbs with the Randakk kit. Fun...

welcome goober :hihihi: ...we are here for just these reasons ...to heip people with oldwings ...freely as can be done ... we were all in the same boat here and this forum takes a lot of unknowns out of the way ....

Ok then, I DO have questions.

I am used to ordering parts using micro fische/ parts diagrams/numbers.

Any dealers have that available online for an '83?

May be hoping for too much here...

Randakk's rebuild kit is great, but I need a simple replacement spring for one of the idle screws too...

I saw your other post that you found the spring, that's cool.

Yep, like Joe said we're all out to help each other keep these old girls on the road and as cheap as possible.

Welcome to the forum.

Welcome from Southern California! Aaah - another '83 being revived - excellent! There are several parts suppliers that use part diagrams/numbers, I use Babbitt's (hondapartshouse.com) and Mrcycles.com. Good luck with the project!

Of course we read these posts! First to welcome new members and second to help them as much as possible. You've stumbled across the best GoldWing community on the interwebz. Now that you've introduced yourself feel free to post as many questions in the tech forums as needed. We also are a great source for parts, we sell and trade amongst ourselves and help locate stuff on the net for each other.

Welcome to the site from New Jersey! :clapping:

I sure hope your assistant Pastor is going to help you along the way other than just riding!!
