I'm stripping a no-title parts bike and will be left with a big piece of steel, the frame. Is it worth anything at all, or should it go to the scrap metal pile?

Titles can be had. The removable section can be sold separately. Some might buy it for a trike build or other project. Frames are sold on ebay too without title.

It's easy in some states. In PA it's PAin. An old boat or bike without a title is pretty much for parts unless there's something really special about it or it's worth a whole lot more with it. For bikes worth under $1000 it's not worth it. I believe Connecticut is rather liberal on the topic. They are quite happy to take your money and give you one, so long as it doesn't come up stolen. It can even be done through the mail. It still runs about $250.

I think New york doesn't title vehicles that old. A bill of sale will do I've heard. What year is it and do you have the wire harness? I have a friend who is looking for a frame and wiring.

My untitled '83 frame has become an organ donor. The centerstand, and its support section have found happy homes on 2 members bikes. Glad I didn't scrap it, ya never know...
