I just acquired my second Gold Wing, but it's my first classic Gold Wing. I was able to finagle1983 GL1100 for free. My other was a 1986 bought back when it wasn't yet a classic. Back then I could afford a new bike and a good mechanic, today not so much. My plan is to rip it completely down to the frame and bring it back to it's original Glory. I'm going to be needing a lot of advice. I rode my first bike back in the mid 70s @ a Yamaha "learn to ride" event in Landover Maryland I was hooked immediately it was teaching other kids to ride at the same event 48 hours later. I've been riding ever since with a few "between bikes" gaps. I think I've owned just about everything but a BMW or a Triumph.
Well that's my cheesy introduction I hope I didn't bore you too badly.

Welcome to the site from New Jersey! :clapping:

Once you start the teardown, create a new thread so we can watch progress and answer your questions. :good:

If you are taking the 'Wing to KY with you, give a shout if you need a hand. I'm only 100 miles away. BTW, there is a guy in Monticello with three old stores full of old Hondas!
