Isn't it the vacuum advance that has vacuum only as throttle is opened?
That also comes off one cylinder. I'll have to try it sometime.
Actually vacuum source for the advance reads overall vacuum at the carbs. Regardless of where you measure vacuum it will be highest at idle and drop as rpm increases.
