He wants him to ruin his engine it sounds like..Randakk should have never even given this guy a time of day to start with..Should have ignored him.. Sounds like a bunch of crap to me..I was considering this manifold but this has turned me off from both of them..I am not buying anything from either guy now..Forget that... I'll stick with what I have now..

youve got that right beav ....randall has goneafter his own customers with theats of sueing and sure has gone after other buisnesses ....he was a fool to fall for his tactics by someone else and talk about his reputation being hurt ...there both kids in old bodies of egnorance ......i wont be buying anything from them ..they have both proved themselfs to me......i dont like spending my money on people who heads are just going to swell into egnorance over the purchase ...i think sabre cycle is more honest than these guys ...if iwas in buisness ...i would not attack others buisnesses at all to try and beef up mine .....im not saying they dont have the right to ...they do....and i also have the right to my opinion about it....

The more I thought about it,the more I decided Steve is Randall's alter ego.The whole thing is created by him,and conveinantly on his vacation.
Think about it,nobody has ever met steve,or seen his bike,or succesfully purchased his manifold.All he has is a web site.

No, not an alter ego. This Capt. character has been in there for some time, giving advice to people when he can.. I'm assuming that maybe he's off his meds (?) I've known a person or two like that, colors and music became very important to them and behavior got out of control. He'll go back to normal if he starts taking them again.

As for Randall, there is no denying he is a wizard when it comes to flat-4 performance! Very knowledgable beyond the average. I have a couple of his items on my 1100 Interstate, and they work wonderfully. I'll be buying more of the same in the future as appropriate and as will fit.

Sorry, no side mounted Webers on a bike with a fairing.. :roll:

No,I have not sent any PICs to craig.Never gave it any thought to be honest with you.I think he sold the business before the final production,so I dont know how much he cares about the terraplanes.
A great hack though.With easy access,simple brake set up,quick removal/instalation...I would want anything differant.

Joe, you said something about Randakk going after his customers. I have heard nothing on that. Is there more to that?

My take is that for the most part, he sells small, hard to find, high quality stuff to keep these old bikes on the road. The only performance part he sells is the dual carb manifolds and he goes through great pains to say that he does not sell the linkage. He built the supercharger he is using for his own use and has no plans to sell it. Other than a youtube video which he posted at NGW and in his own newsletter, he never really promoted it beyond his website nor has he acted like he was the baddest-Goldwing SOB on the planet. The other guy seems to be running around screaming about how he is going to kick Randakk's butt. Randakk tried to take him up on the race, which seemed like it would be fun, and the other guy, the one who cannot even show a picture, caused it to blow up.

Should Randakk have let it pass? I don't know. Reputations can get ruined on the internet pretty quickly. He has consistently defended himself but his success depends on his reputation. For me, when it comes time to rebuild my carbs, I know who I will be calling.

Edit to add-Randakk has a bunch of tips on his website which folks can access for free to get these old wings running. I like that.

im not against randall and admire his bikes and talents greatly and theres no doutb that ive learned a lot from his free access ....but on NGW someone sold intakes to someone else and then wanted info on jet sizes that work best and randall posted a threat of sueing to original manifold owner about sharing jet sizing in priority rights ...if i buy something its mine inculding jet sizing ..i dont think randal has an ownership on weber jet sizing and it maybe his right in the maze of legal bs but here we share info and parts to help others ...and im not sure this kind of legal bs fits in a goldwing help forum ...but he has every right to do so ....my respect for randall is huge and his pluses are much greater than his negitives ....i just think the race thing brought out attitude both ways im not in steves camp either no way ..this form of legal senorship on what you own is realy where sensorship runs amuck ....if you sell it its theres in my opinion :mrgreen:

Sorry to hear that about Randakk. The only similar situation I know of is over on Maximum Suzuki, which is a forum for Suzuki Bandits and a few other bikes. Dale Walker is an excellent tuner (and former drag racer) who has developed jet kits and other performance items. Everyone knows what size jets you get in his kits. He does not care about that. He has his own proprietary jet needles he developed and the best thing the original purchaser gets is Dale on the phone giving advice if you have problems dialing the kit in. To me, that is the perfect model of business.
