Parting Out: 79 GL1000

Had a death in the family so I've been away for a few months.. I'm trying to get rid of some parts and pieces of my parts bike to finance my winter restore project on my own bike. I've got a Windjammer Fairing with Stereo and windshield, trunk, saddlebag brackets (no bags), Hondaline engine guards, Speedo/Tach cluster, gauge cluster, front and rear fenders, valve covers, and a whole bunch more stuff. If anyone's interested send me a PM and I'll get you some pictures. The fairing and trunk are in good shape, no cracks that I've found, just need some sanding and paint.

Buyer pays shipping and I'm willing to negotiate! Not looking to make a fortune, so let's make a deal!

I do have the valve covers without the emblems on them.

Here are a few pictures.. I'll attach more. The whole bike is being parted out. I pulled the stuff I needed and just need it out of my shop. Looks like the PO broke a valve on 4 and parked it... after he pulled the carbs and put Duct tape over the intakes.. Had about 1 inch of rust, dirt, leaves, sticks, etc in each cylinder. All other parts are good. Exhaust manifolds, etc, etc etc. Ask me and I probably have it.

Everything's in good shape except the engine, it's just a little dirty.. I haven't pulled the block apart but I'm sure there's some usable stuff in there. Let me know if you're looking for something but not seeing it, because it's probably there.. just hiding.

Anyone know for sure if the speedo on this will work for an '81 1100? I'd be interested in that if it will... :beg: :mrgreen:

well it will track the same in mph as front wheels are the same ... id say do it

That's alright, it's going to good use. Mine works, just ugly....
