I am a long time fan of Por15 products to eliminate rust problems etc. One of the products they have is called PorPatch. It is listed as a filler, sealer and adhesive and comes in a 4oz tube. To start with, don't get it on your hands unless you like the look for some time. Also, once it sets if you have used it as an adhesive it is not coming apart. Their anti rust paint products require wiping the sealing surface of the can lids really clean before sealing back up because if not you have just welded the lid shut. Don't ask how I know. :shock:
I was about to throw out an old set of Krauser bags recently that were broken on the back side as usual where they mount to the rack. Instead I decided to try the PorPatch and see if I could repair them. After giving them a good clean I used the dremel to open up the cracks and splits enough that the PorPatch would penetrate into the openings. Applied the material and gave it the required time to harden per the instructions. Haven't gotten back to sand the repair down but boy is it solid now.
Decided to see what it would do to put a mounting tab back on a plastic driving light housing. Seems to be working good and I just mounted the light back on my Explorer Safari rack. Only time will tell but looking good so far. :music:
