Does anybody know if I can safely put RainX on the windshield of my GL1100I? I don't know what material it is. It is in good condition so it is probably not still the stock windshield.

Also, I have heard of folks who mix 4-6 oz of ATF to their full fuel tank. I have tried this and is seems to run better. Do you do this at every fill up or just once or twice a year?

Thats good to know since the RainX directions say -glass only and check with manufacturer for other materials-.
I have found that a an old Sta-bil bottle is a handy way to storing and meter the ATF.

I tried atf for the first time yesterday. i added 4 oz to a full tank of fuel. It did seem to quiet the what I think is valve noise, and did seem to perform a little better. I have about 4 quarts of atf on the shelf in the garage so i thought I'd give it a try. I have been checking my mileage lately so I'll see if there is any improvment

I have been adding the ATF and like the others I think its running better smoother and quieter. (but I am easily fooled)

I also use ATF at every fill up. If you buy a house brand, it's inexpensive and extensive use by members on all the old Gold Wing forums support it's benefits.

Cheap insurance - go for it. :good:
