Las Vegas...
interesting , and a bit mad. at least the bits i remember...

Grand Canyon...
absolutely amazing place. flew out there from Vegas in a helicopter. only way to go. :Egyptian:

US ( LA ) freeways...
Do not drive on these unless you are a bit mad. or Superman. they will cause multiple personality disorders. :head bang:

Southern Californian snowfields, ( yes, snowfields )
beautiful part of the country, Big Bear Lake is my kind of town. as is Idyllwild , another mountain town. :clapping:

Topics NOT to discuss in a country pub include....
gun control, immigration, gun control, the government, gun control..... :eek:k:

Disneyland....
Happiest Place on Earth ? i would dispute this claim. that place will cause even the most level headed fella to go bananas.
six bucks for a coke and fourteen for a balloon ?? :sensored:

Cadillac....
The only car to drive in the US. whaat a machine.... heres a picture of my favourite US car.. :good: :good:
all in all a very good trip, and a good mix of hectic days and relaxing ones. did want to try to meet a few people from forum but the opportunity did not really arise. home now and getting a headache trying to figure out how much money we spent.....

 yep that america ... land of rip off
well, i wouldnt say rip off Joe. soon as we got out of the tourist "traps" we could not believe just how cheap things are there.
one example. wifey likes a bit of Diet Coke. (so do i, in bourbon ) any way , we roll into a supermarket and find the coke. 4 two litre bottles for FIVE dollars. lucky to get one here for a fiver.

Glad you enjoyed your visit - at least most of it anyway! There are always people ready to rip you off regardless of where in the world you are. Sad, but true.

The Grand Canyon by helicopter sounds awesome!!

High traffic highways anywhere will cause multiple disorders. There are a number of topics best not discussed in public like politics and religion and I hope you didn't mention gun control. :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy:

Joe's comments can be a real downer sometimes the way he takes the worst from the topic but I'm glad you had a good time!

i cannot say enough about that car... i really, really did not want to give it back. it carried all our extra stuff we picked up and still had room. we got a shuttle bus to the airport from Anaheim and the driver looked at us a bit funny when he saw all our stuff. :smilie_happy:
and i tell you what, have you ever been driven down an LA freeway , in a small shuttle van, at 80 + miles an hr , by a ( possibly ) mentally disturbed eastern european gentleman , weaving in and out and across six lanes of traffic, muttering to himself, waving his hands around and looking everywhere but ahead ?
that is living........... :Egyptian:
