I'm cheap! There I admit it...

When I installed a relay for the fuel pump on my '81 I tried to use the relay and harness from my donor bike. For whatever reason, that didn't work, so I went to the local auto parts store and started buying parts. First was the relay, then the relay socket, then some more wire, then some of this and finally some of that. It wasn't long before I was walking out after dropping $40.00.

When I got home I looked at what I was doing and decided to save some money by not using the relay socket - instead I used wire terminals. When I was just about finished, I didn't like that I had bare terminals exposed, so I covered them with shrink wrap.

What I originally intended was to save a buck. In the end, I think it looks better.

Looks great on the connectors, :good: your ground could be more creative, but if it works well, what the hell. :smilie_happy:

That ground is only the carb ground and what once was the ground for the accessory. You should see the star fish I have in front of the regulator  I'm still looking for something better for a permanent fix.

Getting there Brian :good:

Slow and steady... Next is an auxiliary fuse box to replace all the in-line fuse holders for the relays that I have added, plan to add, and for the stereo memory.

Brian - did a new accessory fuse block and a new ground bus. Used Blue Sea products, like marine stuff (lived on a boat for five years). Here are some pictures.

For the wire pass through used a rubber grommet, drilled a 5/8" hole. Grommet pic:

Just some thoughts.

Cheers

Too late now but I like to use a 5mm (3/16) bolt with eye terminals to make a common earth point
