Hi all! Has anyone removed the air compressor on the false tank? I'm going to progressives all the way around for suspension, so all those hoses and pumps are pretty much dead weight.

If I remove it, I'll just fabricate a new plate, and maybe a cupholder! :smilie_happy:

Yep...might be easier to swap out with another faux tank and sell yours with the compressor attached! (Might even be interested in it meself :hihihi: )

After talking to my old man, he said the front progressive springs still rely on the air compressor for maintenance.... Dangit. Really wanted that cup holder!

You could still remove the compressor and have air assist suspension by using the system off the earlier 1100 wings. They are all air assist and do not carry compressors instead rely upon hand pumping to inflate system. This would allow you to either remove ALL air assist or just use front or rear as independent systems.

Just a thought - hope it helps.
