Hey Y'all,

Joel was a huge help in setting me straight on where to find the main fuse on the solenoid body, per his suggestion I'm going to rewire it to take the spade type auto fuses. I've done this on CB550s, CB750s, and a shadow 1100, never on a bike this old (1981) and never on a goldwing. Is there anything specific to watch out for, or are there good tricks or techniques to use that make the goldwing any different in swapping out these older fuses for the current tech of choice?

On a related note, does anyone have a preferred technique for replacing the frame grounding wire? Right now mine sort of snakes down the outside of the motor and is connected underneath the cylinder heads. I don't like the way it sits so while I'm doing the main fuse I thought I'd rewire the ground. Anything to be careful of in particular?

Thanks,
Chris

Most of the ground wires are connected to a bolt at the triangular motor mount top rear of the motor left side. No hard fast rules how you wire as long as circuits remain the same. Disconnect the battery while you install the fuse and rewire. I'd solder the connections to the new blade fuse holder.

Here's where the ground cable from the battery should go.
