My daughter is selling some EDC tickets (it's a concert in Las Vegas she can't go to) on craigslist.
She got a response from someone to use Paypal for $600.
Is Paypal safe for this, can the payment be disputed and reversed later on screwing her out of the money?

What other forms of payments can be trusted that are completely legit and no way to get screwed?
Cashiers check? Money order?

Postal money order is the best thing, they can forge a good cashiers check and you wont know it for weeks till the bank cashes it with the said bank.
Pay pal if tied to a credit card can be disputed and funds reversed, no way to tell if it is direct or credit. Ebay had a big problem with this years ago now they have verified accounts but thats only on ebay not with paypal.

Dan Do CASH on craigslist Alot of scammers on there. People are scamming M.O. and cashiers checks to. I don't truth PAYPAL any more because if the buyer pays thru pp and uses credit card they can get there money back.

Money order is bought and paid for so funds should be there immediately. Unfortunately even cash is sometimes faked. However it's done be certain the entire transaction is documented including pictures of the tickets a receipts from their purchase. Just in case.

The only guaranteed safe way seems to be cash but if you took a money order to a bank and they gave you cash for it, isn't the bank the one that's screwed at that point?
You may think but no, your bank is not responsible to see if the funds are there before cashing the check, money order, they will cash it, show the funds in your account and you can even draw from it but in a week or so when the check, money order is cahsed by your bank from theirs and bounces they will take it back from your account, even if it means putting your account in the negative.
