Finally got my gel insert after a comedy of errors with the first Ebay seller taking 4 weeks and finally giving me a refund. New seller took only 2 business days. Pretty happy with the finished result.

Still putting it back together Gerry. First official ride will be to the VJMC Rally on the Gold Coast Saturday if I get her all back together in time. :yes:

Finally rode the Rats Nest after cleaning it up for the VJMC Rally on the Gold Coast. When I changed the fork seals I also replaced the progressive springs. I was congratulating myself on how the atf ( 10w equivalent and progressive recommend 20w for the Gl1100) and the new springs had made such an improvement to my ride when I remembered that we had installed the gel insert in the seat. :doh:
On the ride home I realised that I should have purchased a slightly longer gel pad or not pushed it up all the way to the backrest but it is still a great improvement. :good:
