I got one a month or so back, and I'm here to tell ya, don't believe the BS aboot keepin yer clothing dry...it ain't true, no matter HOW I prepare it. Not that it really matters, since I'm only using it for the ride home in the evening after werk, so it's only gettin my werk shert soakin wet. Of course, my shert was soaked with sweat before, so.... :whistling:
It DOES definitely keep me cooler, no doubt aboot that. I soak it down at least twice during the day, and hang it where the A/C will keep it nice and chilly. By the time to ride home comes around, it's nice and kewl. I found it best to wear my leather vest over it so the 100+ ambient temps(@75-80mph) here don't dry the durn thing out within a few miles. Just wish it performed as advertised, as far as keepin my clothes dry. I paid $50 for the one I got from Cycle Gear, as they have a store right around the corner from the shop....now I see they're selling for $39.....sigh... :fiddle:

I had someone's cooling vest about a decade ago. Maybe a Joe Rocket, not worth digging out to check. Used it that summer and it's been hanging in the back of the gear rack since. Now I just wear a long-sleeve microfiber shirt and soak a microfiber towel to put around my neck. Works better. Planning on being wet makes it a lot more pleasant.

:smilie_happy:
Oh ya....I'm familiar wid em....got one blowin on me at the shop all day....and it sux.

How can anyone forget the obnoxious branding of Joe Rocket gear?

Not trying to diss the gear - it's good otherwise, but it makes me dig out a seam ripper and remove the bazillion mentions of "Joe Rocket". Still end up looking like a Power Ranger in the silver mesh summer gear, but at least it is better.
