I bought a full set for my 1500 back in Nov '16, also Carbon/Kevlar, for $1 less. So far, I'm happy with them. They stop quickly, without any noise, or smell. Really like the price, too. Got a full set(frt/rear) for less than what a set for ONE caliper costs for the '81....cain't beat that with a stick. :clapping:

The compartment was completely unbolted with the lower corner molding removed, but I didn't want to mess with the lid release cable. The trunk was set back 3" by the portly PO's which makes re-attaching the cables a pita.

The release cable supported the rear of the empty(and surprisingly light) compartment at the rear over the bottom support bracket. Now, since my back is preventing me from using the center stand the bike was on the sidestand which made the front of the compartment swing out from the bike. I secured the compartment where I wanted it with some 2" clear packing tape leaving me with about 10-11" of room to do everything I needed to replace the pads. :thank_you:
