I have a lot of time to read the forms while I'm visiting North Carolina and it makes me do a lot of thinking about motorcycles in the garage and what I could or should do them.

You guys might remember this cheap set of bags that I bought a while back intending to put them on my café '78 - just for short overnighters. After they came, I sort of decided that I didn't want to put them on there and so they've been sitting in the garage ever since.

Now I'm thinking that they do might actually be a good fit for the Sidecar rig and I might get to deploy them after all! I'm going to give them a trial fit when I get back.

Well, I can thank Afrodite (FlipFlop) for this one. If you guys remember this thread, you'll recall that I was looking for bags for my "cafe" '78 so that i can use it for a few overnighters instead of the Valkyrie all the time. As it's currently configured, it's hard to tote much around. I bought the bags noted earlier in this thread and ended up not using them. I sold them to a friend who painted them red and is enjoying the heck out of them on his '77.

So, why do I thank Afrodite? Because earlier today, she posted about the confused chap here in Phoenix:
https://www.classicgoldwings.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=134&t=13200

I saw the condition of his Hondaline bags and called to see if he still had them (ad was a month old). He did.

$100. (Pretty good deal I think. They were darn near pristine. (As close as it gets, I suspect). So, my '78 may morph slightly in the not-too-distant-future:

For some reason, the site will not accept photos from my new iPhone. See the ad above for pics of the bags. They are unmarked and the chrome on the mounts has zero pits or rust. It's Arizona, man.

Oh BTW, it was one of your older threads I was looking through and you had posted a general search for Goldwings in your area, I had to look and was amazed at the various bikes, always am no matter what part of the country, but it was your general search thread that got me to looking there in the first place lol!
