Starter problems

My 80 had some intermittant starter problems then quit all togather. This is what i found

I topped the tank off and went for a ride after I soldered the infmas yellow wires. No luck

I take it the "no luck" is your charging circuit. If your stator tests ok than more than likely it is your rectifier/ regulator that is letting you down. If you need a replacement there are threads about using a later model 07+ CBR unit that is Mofset rather than SCR.

NO the bat was put on the charger for full charge then i went for a ride and it did not hold. opened the circuit and tested with ohm meter, book sais 1.1ohms are close. My redong was half .57 so ith indication is shorted windings or shorted to cale, in either case ENGINE REMOVEL. :Egyptian: :Egyptian: :head bang: :head bang: :sensored: :sensored:
