One of my co-workers has an 83 with a stripped Stator bolt. Honda no longer supplies the bolt. Any one know where we can find one?

Rare for that bolt to strip.
I can't see why a hardened hardware store bolt of the same size wouldn't work.
If you come up empty let me know. I'm sure I have one in the garage.

Thanks Dan, That was kind of my thinking also. The bolt has a compression washer that is part of the bolt itself that is why he wanted to go with the original bolt if possible. Since the engine is out of the bike I'm just wondeing how much damage was done to the stator. Should be no problem rethreading the shaft, I was told the threads go quite deep. It must have realley backed out, he showed me the bolt and only about 3/8 inch of the tip is stripped. I'm sure glad I retorqued mine and I wouldn't even have known about the potential problem if it hadn't been for you guys.
