yesterday i met up with some guys ( jeff, scott lenny, and kenny ) from work down in cement city, mi at town & country. its a multi dealership that sells the japaneese bikes and harley davdison. we all signed up to test ride goldwings, they had an '09 and '10 for us to sample. wonderful bikes, great brakes and what a motor. it feels sooo light too. i liked it but i do realize the bike is not set up the way i would set it up.leaving there lenny went home and ken ny went to change bikes and get his wife. kenny, scott, andjeff were riding their bmw gs 1200 adventure bikes, lenny rides a harley ultraclassic. scott, jeff and myself left and headed to cantom, mi, it seems the bmw dealership was having demo days and what did we demo? this thats right the new gtl 1600

my neighbor has a bmw bu i think its a 1200 nice bike but he never rides it looks sweet though
the bmw rt / rs / and gs 1200's are nice but the new gtl with those narrow handlebars and horrable seat is just an oversized sport-tourer. i've ridden the gs 1200 adventere and the rsand like them both but the 1200 adventure is my favoriteof the bmw's i've been on

What....no 2012 'Wing? :headscratch:
Got a new mag with a review of the '12 'Wing...supposed to be a major improvement over the 2010(there was no 2011).
Man...I'd love to be able to go down to a dealership and test a few like that. That's gotta be fun! :good:

i was told that there are still production problems in japan and t&c didn't have a 2012 wing for us to sample. if the 2012 wing is better that the 2010 wing then honda has nothing to worry about cause the bmw has a good foundation but it ain't there yet

I sure would like to see and ride a new 2012 Wing. But , I have never even seen one anywhere yet... and if I was a dealer , and a guy like me walked in that looked like me......., there is noway I'd let him ride ..... :smilie_happy:

both dealers had a bout an 8 mile loop and noone form the dealer rode along with us. t & c let us ride as long as we wantedand we also found out that they do rentals at t & c
Just for a NE perspective...around here (NJ), you are not even allowed to start the bikes up let alone try them out! :cheeky:
