any texans listen to KHYI 93.5 the range? they don't have that kind of music up north, not even close! i've told people if not for any other reason i would live here just for the music. awesome! check it out on your comp if your too far away... or as they say,, if you can't hear us where you live ----- MOVE!

Name a few more "artists" so I can identify what kind of music you're talking about, please.

Actually, I grew up on a farm and have enjoyed country music all my life.

I also envy the Texas weather: 12 inches of snow in Amarillo last week. I spent several weeks at Amarillo AFB in Jan & Feb 1968 and decided even the music wasn't enough to make me move to Texas.

Amarillo is absolutely NOT a good representation of Texas! Neither is El Paso, where I'm from...

I grew up on Johnny Horton, Charley Pride, Johnny Cash, Tammy Wynett, Hank Thompson, Don Williams, Loretta Lynn, Buck Owens... I didn't like all of 'em, but I like 'em better than most of the modern "country" stars. The music is OK, but it doesn't feel "country" anymore. Screamin' guitars and light shows are fun, but they don't exactly bring to mind plowed fields, haystacks and barnyards.
