The Wanderer is wandering. Took her out today for about a 40 mile trip and man, this bike is smooth and tons of power. No problems at all. Engine temp does rise a few bars when slowing down and stopping but reverts back to normal (4 bars) when i picked up speed. Now, I just need to get my foot pegs sorted out and we are ready to wander some more :moped:

Well, I thought i was done but found a hose (vacuum) that was not hooked up. I connected it to an inlet located on the carb, turns out it went to the CDI box.
Prior to hooking this up, the engine did appear to be "missing" slightly upon warm-up.
What happens if this hose is not connected to carb and hence, CDI box? what would be the symptoms?

Incorrect ignition advance at higher rpm. Vac hose allows the CDI to further advance the ignition.

Okay, thanks for the info.

Wow they sure look bright in the video. How are they for the night rides?
Provide good additional visibility. I really like it during the day too, lots of cagers take a second look

New issue just developed. Took the bike out. Did not really let it warm up much, maybe idled for 1 min then I headed out. Upon acceleration , felt sluggish and engine was making a strange short "pssst" sound . Sound only lasted a second. Like it's missing or something but no backfire. Once bike warmed up, she runs fine.
Thoughts?

It's a sucking sound simultaneous with loss of acceleration. Lasts just a second or two and only occurs when engine is cold. Does not occur during idle in neutral.

Make sure that you don’t have a vaccum leak!
That's what I was thinking
