At first I was all "that's cool!" Then it starts working in a warehouse or factory. It isn't even the big one that was in the monster line up at the beginning of the video. Weaponize them and it'll be the end of us all. Maybe as a Fire Bot or rescue unit but it wouldn't stop there.

That's what I thought, It left in shame but it will be back..I`e hate to be him.

When I first saw this my imagination went wild in a dark way. Ending in a terrible future with a small super elite class and a huge unemployed class struggling to exist. Add AI that has become self aware and we will become extinct to artificial selection not natural. :|

this vid was a lot more to me than the surface ...pretty much ...this is the way people are treated on there jobs..most people just take it ... and make up there dignity elsewhere ...the robot was quite retarded and very shaky balanced and no where near as good as creation of humans....there was no reasoning ...10lb box is nothing...all it took was a stick for the bot to loose it ...and im sure there was a team off camera that runs the thing ...and makes the whole thing a joke in efficiency....it had no hands ...and smart hands are the best tool there is ..so i dont see this as anything but maybe a movie prop where it could made to look better than it is ....

Anyone remember this?

The operational technology for these things has been around for many years. They're still a few years(decades) from building something that will survive in a real world environment. If you put one of these things out on the streets around here today, you'd come back 10 minutes later to find it sittin up on blocks. :smilie_happy:
The day will come, however, when stuff like this will be viable. The real problem will be keeping them safe from hacking, and just plain ol ******* programmers that wanna **** with people. It's not the machines we should fear, but the ******** that control them.
