What tube would I use for the gl1100 tires? I am putting Metzler Marathon on the week before we leave. I will use the tubeless when I mount them.
Will also put "RIDE ON" in all my tires. Bike & trailer.

140/90/16 for the rear
120/90/18 for the front

I am looking for the tubes so I have a fix if I should get a flat on my trip next year.

Thanks for any suggestions.

+1 on using anything other than air in the tires....goop makes changing them a pita.
I have THIS compressor, and tire plugs in the saddle bag for emergency tire problems. The compressor is small, but pumps up pretty fast.

Ride on is a dynamic balancer and sealant, it is not supposed to make a mess like other flat repairs in a can. I still haven't used it myself but everything I have read shows good results. I would take a co2 plug repair kit rather than spare tubes if it was me, I try to carry one at all times

When your stuck out in the middle of nowhere with no cell service, a mess in the tire is better than being stranded.
I carry a full plug kit, big can of fixaflat, and a compressor.

I'd listen to Joel's advice...he has more tire experience for dealing with flats, holes and any other tire problem than all of us combined! :smilie_happy:

Ride on does not attach to the rim and gets thrown out into the centre of the tire by centrivical force and doesn't go hard.
